Absolutely the best food ever and a super owner!

Service was slow and thoughtless - even though we specified we were sharing an appi no additional plate was given until asked, neither were utensils. Drink refills were very slow. The waitress was lippy when we said we were ready to order. The flavour of food was adequate but the value was lacking. We got the turkey bacon cheese bread and the prime rib burgers. $3.50 for 1 strip of bacon on the burger was ridiculous. We could have had all you can eat sushi for less and had better service, quality and value.

First time there for food ! Went in for wings and beer with a buddy the wings where really good ! Buddy got an order of fries as well and they where the best fries I've had in a long time !! Sorry I didn't take any pics I'll work on it 😁

Our 1st visit to D.J 's and we were not disappointed !! The food, the service, the entertainment was fantastic. It was a fundraiser evening !! So friendly and courteous 👍👍The Sponsors and the hosts ( D.J. 's) were unbelievable !!! Best time my wife and I have had in a long time and very affordable 🤗🤗🍻🍻 Thank you!!

This is a delicious spot for some true smoke BBQ. Mostly Carolina style - they serve up some real tasty treats! Drink menu is delightful - and if you care for Burbon please have the burbon Lemonade! Excellent servers, killer cooks, and a stellar outdoor patio with great vibes and amazing food! This place also has history in Peterborough as the old MoHo. One of the last men's only bars...thank you for bringing Peterborough some truly amazing food!

Have had good meals and not good meals here. This was a particularly delicious one. Expensive when compared to other outings, but they do know their way around a smoker.

BEST PULL PORK EVER. I don't care about the service being to slow. All I care about the food getting to me, and fries oh my gosh. The fries are the best.

Food was good, but not enough brisket on the sandwich. Usually a beef brisket sandwich is piled high.. didnt seem very much for $15.99.. but was very tasty..

Food was great and service was pretty good. They have great BBQ and Monday's they have 1/2 price wings. Also have a great beer selection

Order: Brisket and pulled pork platter with brisket chili and cornbreadFirst of all, we went on a night that wasn't busy (two other tables with customers) and it still took them at least 20-30 minutes to bring our food. The pulled pork was way too sweet and the brisket was definitely not fresh. It was not soft and tender either. The brisket chili was actually good though.

I ordered a pound of wing and although they were amazing, there was not enough some how (you should maybe put them on a bed of fries), so I ordered the brisket as well ... and my god... Best I have had. Very clean, staff was very nice, trust me go here!!!

Excellent burgers and good beer

Had the pulled pork tacos and the mac & cheese and I can highly recommend both!!!

The 3rd Saturday afternoon is a rockin blues jam with local and loco talent. Good tunes

Great prices. Healthy sized portions. Friendly staff. That's what we get every time we go to Dr J's. Love the smokehouse foods - pork, chicken, beef. Usually has a table open with not long waits for food or drink. TVs have games on. Sometimes live music. Haven't had a meal there that I haven't liked the 4-5 times I've been there over the past three years. Good job Dr J's!

We dropped in on our way through Peterborough, looking for another restaurant that we had heard about (it was closed) so we happened upon this restaurant a couple of blocks over, in the downtown core. They don't look nearly as good on the outside as they do inside (from the street) but don't let that deter you. The interior is bright and spacious, with a nice bar on the one end, and lots of booths and high-tables around the room

We love Dr. J's! Great food, atmosphere, and drinks! Love that Route 66, nice & strong. Mmmm. The hot mess poutine is awesome! Wings are delish! Best brisket I've had, the first time, but wasn't as good the second time so it's not consistent but nothing to complain about! Awesome food & have never had an issue with service either! Super friendly, attentive. Yeah. Definitely recommend! :)

We ordered the brisket and a Caesar salad for pick up at 6 pm last nite. They brought it out to the car immediately and off we went. Well I have to say, it was absolutely delicious. The beef melted in your mouth and the salad was perfect. If you want a treat I totally recommend ordering..

Didn't seem like great value for money. Portions not very large. Some food was a bit undercooked.

I don't understand how this place is still open. The wait staff was interested in socializing with each other instead of actually dealing with their customers. We had to pry her away from her friends just to get drinks. The food portions were insanely small for the price we had to pay. For a barbecue place, that's ridiculous! $2 extra for a Caesar salad for your meal and it's a half a cup worth the salad, if you're lucky?!?! Won't be back!

Amazing. Always amazing food never a single complaint. Just wish my belly was bigger so i could order more food. Great bang for the buck.

While traveling I only pick locally owned, when I can. This nite I picked Dr.J's. and they didn't disappoint! I enjoyed the BBQ&fixins, atmosphere and of course the people both the staff and locals. Thanks for the good conversation. Cheers AJ, Sam and Matt!

Dr. J's is hit or miss. If you're lucky you'll get huge portions of melt in your mouth smoked BBQ goodness. Unfortunately on our last visit (and I mean that literally) we got service that was beyond reproach. We were left alone at our table for over 60 minutes, the place was not that busy, and the wait staff were in view wrapping cutlery with napkins near the front door. When we asked a server passing by what was going on, she asked us "if we remembered what our server looked like", promised someone would come by soon, and then disappeared. Crickets. Empty glasses. And finally, skimpy lukewarm portions served far too late. It's a shame, but Dr. J's has gone downhill.

Kinda a regular customer only group hang out.New customers are not treated very well..Draft beer is not cold but warm and over priced ......

Amazing food! Had the tacos 🌮 hot mess poutine & pineapple Chipotle wings between the 3 of us. Waitress was very personable. She needs a raise 😉Will definitely be returning in the future.

Extremely delicious as smoked food is. You can smell them smoking it a mile away with that godly smell. It's definitely a pricey place but it's worth it. Plus they have Richard's Red of draft.. yum.

Waited for 10 minutes for a sever and my food came out with fries when I ordered a salad. Meal was ok not the best BBQ in town I recommend muddys if you want BBQ

Exvessive heavy smoke flavour on the ribs dry pulled pork bad amounts of fat thru brisket pay extra for sauce to force it down 3rd and last time here I would heavily recommend muddys char pit in Keene

Really nice, authentic slow cooked and smoked BBQ. I had the sampler with Ribs, Brisket and pulled pork. Nice, deep smoky flavours, and pretty good service. 4 stars instead of 5 because the ribs and brisket both had really nice texture, but were both under seasoned to my tastes, but I'll definitely be back. The slaw, beans and cornbread were all excellent too (had to have a bite of the cornbread before I took the pic)

I ordered online on Friday morning for curb side pick up that evening. I ordered the “I Can’t decide platter” Ribs, Brisket and Sausage and upgraded the side to “Mac and cheese “Pick up went smoothly, the order was exactly what I ordered and the food was very delicious. I would definitely recommend Dr J’s BBQ and we will order again.Thank you for an amazing dinner.

Must try their smoked meat platters, you will definitely like it. They also have decent selection of beers in their restaurant.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the food here. When the atmosphere is good it's amazing. The food makes up for some small disappointments, the service is usually good but sometimes waitresses can be slow, uncaring.

Ordered the Can’t decide platter.Ribs were tough and food was not hot.The beans were terrible.Almost tasted fermented.Sweet potato fries were great and so was the brisket.This was our first “off”meal there,so we will try again.The young new waitress did a great job serving.

Ordered tonight for delivery for 6pm, right on time, but forgot my beer, but no big deal, cause back she came with it! Great food, often eat here when at work, but these are crazy times so this was perfect.

Great patio set-up and awesome pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato fries. Oh and friendly service too!
